About ITPAB of Bangladesh
Being closely associated with Students the Society has developed a huge net-work of “Student Branches” across the country. The activities conducted for the Students associated with the Society include lecture meetings, seminars, conferences, training programmes, programming contest and practical visits to technical installations. ITPAB has a strong Educational Directorate based at Bangladesh which undertakes activities related to Certification of professionals related to the latest technologies. Its recent initiative of distance education in the Business Domain areas offers technology enabled learning supported by personal counseling & expert advice. In an ever changing environment, ITPAB offers professional counseling being a great need of the time and this is done through close contact with it’s young members conducting various events, conferences and symposiams. ITPAB regularly organises SEARCC Programming Contest, Turning Quiz, Discover Thinking Project Contest, On-line Programming Contest etc. for the students.

Message of President
The Information Technology Professional Association of Bangladesh (ITPAB) started its journey having the concepts of ICT technical knowledge sharing and mutual cooperation since 2000. The initiative was taken by some ICT enthusiasts while undertaking ICT related training course in IEB ( Institutions of Engineers Bangladesh) in the year 2000 although its formal journey started more or less one year later. This journey was strengthend when it got its registration from the department of social welfare a few years later. Not only that, it got its firm financial footing that enabled this forum to exist till today amid lots of ups and downs during the course of time and I must acknowledge that the footing was achieved because of the contribution of our beloved ex-president and current chief advisor of ITPAB Brig. Gen (Retd) M Mofizur Rahman. We sincerely remember the contributions and dedications of our founding member Jashim Vai who left us on 1st Fb. 2012. He dedicated his office space for ITPAB that is being used as ITPAB’s office still today. Recently, ITPAB has taken some good initiatives to enroll new members and the ITPAB website is being developed decently to cater our needs. I strongly believe that this forum has been gaining momentum towards achieving its ultimate goal in providing ICT based technical cooperation and state of the art technical knowledge sharing amongst it’s members. Let’s hope for the best.
